Finishing includes bindery services such as trimming, folding and stitching, packing, and arranging dispatch to the final destination. We don't leave a thing to chance – we also perforate, die-cut and crease. By providing the full range of services, we keep complete in-house control of every job.

Folding

We provide all standard types of bookwork folding as well as:

• spine gluing
• double gate folding
• multi-panel roll folds
• concertina folding (with up to 14 panels)
• combination folds

We can work with sheets up to 720mm x 1020mm in size.

Stitching

We saddle-stitch publications. We're fast and efficient – our Osako Tener 6 station means we can collate and stitch up to six book sections and the cover all at once. We also offer multi-head drilling (for documents to go in ring-binders, for example).

The latest automatic scanning and monitoring equipment ensures errors are kept to an absolute minimum, and are spotted before being packed.

Pack and dispatch

We pack everything we print. All products are banded and bundled just as our customers have requested. As well as machine packing, we can package by hand, making it possible to tailor packaging to the individual needs of the customer. We can shrink-wrap anything from A6 to A3 in size.

We also arrange delivery nationwide and overseas. We are experienced in export packaging including plastic pallets and the correct customs documentation.

We insist upon delivery confirmation so we can be sure that all dispatches from Format meet their destination safely. We'll organise delivery with multiple destinations and we provide a storage and distribution service.
